	ABOUT THE ARTIST Well known in the experimental music underground, Philadelphia's Jonathan Canady began to focus his creative efforts on visual art in 2007. Since then his work has been exhibited in Europe and several places in The United States as well as featured in multiple underground publications. STATEMENT The overarching theme of my current work is the conflict between the positive and the negative in all of us. Each figure in these paintings is a collage of two different people that share some common factors. I judge each personality to be either more positive or more negative and then I combine them. The battle rages on in their features as it does under the surface in you and in me.
